Historic Poplar Hall

Welcome to Historic Farmville and to one of the oldest buildings in town. Poplar Hall is located on Main Street in the center of where final dramatic events of the Civil War played out.

Poplar Hall is reputed to be the oldest commercial building in Farmville and the front of the building still bears the site of the impact of two cannon ball hits fired from across the nearby Appomattox River at the end of the Civil War.
The building is now home to an Antique Center with three levels of fine furnishings, over nine thousand square feet. The store features European and American antiques and reproduction furniture, chandeliers, paintings, mirrors, oriental rugs, pottery, lamps and many more unique and hard to find pieces that you may find desirable for your home.
Farmville is an ideal location for a weekend or day visit to do some sightseeing, shopping and is located approximately an hours drive from Richmond, Lynchburg & Charlottesville. Farmville has long been the shopping and sightseeing destination of discerning home furnishing shoppers and history buffs.

Poplar Hall Antique Center

Poplar Hall is an antique shop for the bargain hunter, connoisseur and beginning collector of fine furnishings and collectables. The center has over nine thousand square feet on 3 floors.

We have a large selection of European, American, Asian antiques, reproduction pieces furniture, paintings, chandeliers, Persian rugs, crystal, fine porcelain, pottery, lamps, primitives, shabby chic, tools, toys and unique decorative pieces.
